Every person I've know who's moved to either has stayed.
You need to think long and hard about the weather if you're going to move to Canada though. Great for ski-ing though. |

Lived in North Sydney, Lane Cove for a year on a temporary residents visa, was one of the best years of my life without doubt. Both me and the missus were offered sponsorships to get full time residency by our companies but we would have missed out on both our families so declined. I would recommend it to anyone to try, a great country. Didn´t like N.Z. at all though, completely different people with a negative mindset compared to the Aussies who were excellent to be amongst. Played cricket for the local club and after the initial Pommie bashing they welcomed me as one of their own, a truly great experience. Only thing was the wages are much less than you would expect in the U.K. but the cost of living is quite a bit lower although renting in Sydney is probably comparable to a London suburb such as Beckenham or West Wickham for example so not that cheap.

Montreal and Torronto are nice places. Shame everyone in Montreal speaks French! ha
Both clean and friendly, great sights and restaurants etc. Women in Montreal were stunning. |

From many people I gather Oz, in particular, and Canada are great to visit for an extended holiday.
Actually moving 10,000 miles away to Gods Waiting Room ( most parts) is a different thing altogether. Pert, especially, is nowhere near anywhere else on The West Coast and the other major cities are much more expensive than 15 years ago. Their 7.00PM is our 7.00AM so its not that easy to stay in contact but for a holiday then geat! |
