Looking for at least 10

will start off with a TEABAG

an early 20th centuryAmerican invention that has now been adopted worldwide that has put out of business a lot of people.

We in England have been drinking tea since the 17th century when a Portuguese queen brought it to the Royal court and loose tea was good enough untl teh teabag was invented. The US was even founded due to a tea dispute and this wouldn't have happened if there were teabags around then.

5 Things out of Use due to teabags

1) Tea Chests: even removal firms have stopped using tehse now as cardboard is better and there are no more tea chest makers in the UK.

2) TeaPots: Clarice Cliff would turn in her grave if she knew most people now make tea in the cup instead of the pot. Most houses still have a teapot but like in the scouse comedy Bread, it's used for other purposes than for tea.

3) Tea Strainers: As we don't use loose tea now, we have no need for the strainer and the last manufacturer of such is Bodum, a Danish firm

4) PG Tips Chimps: Pre-Digestive Tea (or PG Tips) as they were known was the most famous brand due to the chimps used to advertise it.They were pensioned off in 1994 as they represented loose tea sales and not bags. The advert "Mr.Shifter" holds the record for the most played advert on British TV.

5)Fortune Telling using tea leaves: The bag has destroyed many a fortune teller's way of life and many have now switched to palms and crystal balls due to the lack of loose tea usage.Hilda Ogden would not be a happy bunny these days as Roy's cafe uses bags

Therefore, I declare the T-Bag to be most useless invention in the world

Spaceships. What the f*ck is the point of going to space? You can see all you need to see from your garden on a clear night.

teabagging predates the teabag imo

Surely the invention of the teabag was just inevetable. Ive never made tea from loose leafs but i could not imagine myself doing it first thing in the morning. The tea bag is not useless it just cuts out alot of unneeded work. Bag in a cup, boiling water, milk and sugar - done.

TOWER BLOCKS... some genius decided that people would love living in these sixties horrors. Then one collapsed after a gas explosion. Broken lifts, stinking stairwells, dark corridors and walkways. Architects who designed these anti-social flats should be incarcerated in them for the rest of their natural.

I wish to defend the tea-bag.
As a young child I remember choking on the tea-leaves at the bottom of my dad's pint pot. So traumatic was it that even now drinking coffee, I still can't bring myself to drink to the bottom of the cup.

LEAF BLOWERS
Every Autumn I watch in amazement as middle aged men stand on their driveways or outside the front of their houses with an oversized hairdyer in hand, blowing leaves - or try to - into a neat pile.As it is Autumn when they carry out this pointless task - a season known,by definition, for it's windiness - the leaves just disperse, only to be blown again the next day.

They did. John Logie Baird invented colour television before the war. But as no-one had colour television sets it really was a most pointless invention.
