I'd suggest a Pinot Noir if you opt to go for a red then.
If not, perhaps a Chardonnay.
Many Chardonnays are oaked, which isn't to every drinker's taste, so I think the safer bet is the Pinot Noir. I think the New Zealand Pinots are generally very good. Majestic usually have a good selection, most sub £10. Put in the fridge for 20 minutes before serving to get to "cellar" temperature.

Oyster Bay is a decent Sauv Blanc, but not the right combination with turkey.PJ, this one is good if you can stretch the wallet a bit further ;)http://www.majestic.co.uk/find/category-is-Wine/Colour-is-Red+Wine/Style-is-Light,+elegant+reds/product-is
It's the only one i have and was wondering if it was good value by asking others with more knowledge whether I should maybe fork out another couple of quid and get a better one. Now pull your head in and calm down.

its not rocket science brodie - if u buy the cheapest wine out there its gonna be the worst. that doesnt mean that u will find it undrinkable. if u think its ok then thats fine. its like buying a dairy milk choc bar. if u like it thats fine but obviously most people would agree that a £2 choc bar is gonna be better

Its £3.80 at an offy close by and £4.8 at another, so is it better at the second offy? I'm very limited in my knowledge of wine and was asking. The response could have beein a) ALL wines in that price bracket are no good b)Echo Falls is a good example of a cheap wine c)Echo Falls is a bad example of a cheap wine.
What did I get ? A sh1tty argumentative reply as per expected by some tw@ts on here. Should have fackin known.

im just telling u the truth. any wine thats about £4 is gonna be pretty mediocre (to a wine buff). if u drink it and u think its ok and doesnt taste like sh1t then thats all that matters. i guarantee u if u compared a £4 wine to a (say) £20 quid wine u would notice the difference and u would think the £20 wine was much richer and stuff. but would u wanna pay £20 for it? thats up to u

The packaging etc costs for a £4 bottle are the same as a £20 bottle so you're paying a a far higher percentage of the price of the cheaper bottle for the bit you don't drink.
Brodie, one thing to bear in mind. The packaging etc costs for a £4 bottle are the same as a £20 bottleso you're paying a a far higher percentage of the price of the cheaper bottlefor the bit you don't drink.
agree about the Marlborough / Montana wines from NZ, also Tesco do a very nice Finest Chablis for 6 quid reduced from 9 quid at the moment, and an Argentinian 2007 Reserve Malbec for the same price which is decent.

The biggest thing that gets lumped onto every bottle is tax.
Some good suggestions on here PJ, but I stick by mine (like backing the draw ;) ) - some of the others don't complement your food that well, imo. It's all down to personal taste of course. :)
