Religion was originally invented to keep people in order, but that's broken down and intelligent people don't buy it, so our masters have had to invent other things.
Global Warming was just a scientific theory until 1985 and polititions only really started talking about it in 1988 co-incedentally around the time of the end of the Cold War, which they used to scare us with for the previous 40 or so years.
The winters are still as cold as I can remember when I was a kid, there were summers in the mid 1970's that were much hotter than the last few have been.
I haven't noticed any drastic changes in temperatures, I'm 50 years old, what global warming? ffs I'm sick of hearing about it.

No need for paranoia. The government are responding to urgings from the scientific community, as they should. The best scientific consensus is in little doubt about the reality of greenhouse gas induced global warming.
It has been predicted to occur since the 19th century and the big mystery was why it took so long to get going. It's believed that air pollution in the form of soot and sulphate cancelled out the warming early on by intercepting sunlight. After the introduction of clean air laws in North America and Europe in the 70s, this was reversed.

The problem Wur is that the Governments are ALL saying ITS OUR FAULT for global warming.
We leave too many lightbulbs on so we must tax you more, but dont worry you want to save the planet dont you?

A thing that they dont tell you is that cutting down the rainforests is causing more global warming than all the cars and lightbulbs in all the world put together.
But who is behind the logging and destruction? The Governments and big business.
So much so that Indonesia has just been officially named as the THIRD biggest country in the world to the cause of climate change behind the USA and China.
But keep it under your hat because talk like that may question the elite masses blaming the normal populace all the time.

Good post and agreed TC. In my living memory for instance Nov/Dec generally much colder in mid sixties that today. Talking to my mum, she has noticed climatic changes to the seasons. The climate is always changing whether getting hotter/colder/wetter/drier. Agree with Attenborough - main problem is too many humans.
