chit chat fantasy football league . . .

Good stuff now we have our 10 players, i cant add anymore now we have filled the quota apparently.

So now all the 10 players have to do now before thursday evening is make their wish list of players. Then THE TIMES website will dish the 10 particpants 20 players each and then we are all set to do what we like :)

I am hoping non of you guys are gonna try and steal my number 1 pick of Mike Duff from Burnley :|

Fairly happy with the players I've been given...could've been a lot worse I guess :^0

Im delighted with mine and i couldnt have got first second or third picks either cos i had lampard, gerrard and torres top 3 on my lists.... got arshavin, had him down as 4th

quite pleased with mine apart from having 3 really good left backs but having 2 sh1t right backs

knight cant your LB play in other positions in your defence? most can play a few positions - some can play anywhere across the back 4. If they cant you could swap any for a player in the UNUSED pool of players but they probably aint as good as what you want or need.

some players will get added positions to them as the season goes on (elano played 6 different positions for man city last season and could be put anywhere basically on the times game)

everyone just have to check who is injured (think they may have exclamation marks next to them - but best lick to see) and who has actually left the division to go down a division or abroad.... need to ship em out rather quick!

yeah you got a decent team there study, best not to get rid of the injured players if they aint out long just bench is good and u still retain them

yeah 1 is fine. you could swap an outfield player to have a second keep but its not needed. If you notice that the 1 keeper you have has an injury midweek he obviously isnt gonna play so then use another player to swap with a gk from the pool of unused players.

well at least i got torres, need to decide who who is going to play upfront with him, out of carlton cole, heskey or bendtner :^0 could go 4-5-1 but I'm lacking in decent midfielders, v happy with my defense though :D

well each position on the pitch you will have to play 38 times... so if you play 4-5-1 you`ll use up centre mid quick and have alot of strikers left to play.... but still very playable if you change then from 4-5-1 to 4-3-3 to work in the reverse

You dont want these players who will come on in the 88th minute or they`ll only get you 2 mins per game... you need them to get you plenty mins to do well in that category. But you`ll see as it goes on :)

i had aquillani quite high in my lists, hope he plays plenty :)

kalou, fuller and kevin davies are my only 3 strikers :(

Wouldnt worry too much thought shaky, u can trade them for free strikers in the u nused pool and u have good scoring midfielders in Gerrard, Arteta and Giovanni so you got plenty goals from Midfield and Davies hit plenty last season needs it again to help you

how do i go about trading for those in the unused pool?

when your on the manage team screen if you scroll down you will see a box with scouting, in bottom right corner of that box there is a more player statistics button, click and you can search for out of contract players, and even select the team you wanna view or position.

We are all currently ranked 1-10 in order they randomly gave us to decide our picks. That table is turned on its head for the purpose of incoming players to the league. So if say Kaka was to join Burnley! we would all want him.... there is a 48 hour period for people to stake there claim for him, once that period has elapsed whoever is top of the pile will get him but they however will drop to the bottom of the pile for the next time they try to snap up a player.

You could bring a player in at 2.45pm on a saturday and play him in your team no probs, but if a player has been put in the pool of players within last 48 hours there will be 48 period again for people to stake their claim on him. Players who have been on the list a while you can bring in with no delays

Baggers/Miami/Ribbons we all got our teams now, so time to go have a look and position them for saturdays game.

Use the scouting for players function to try and change a plyyaer with a free player from the poolof unused players (48 wiaitng period until the first week is up i think)

Just about got my head around the transfer thing my new rb comes in at 2.37 on sat so should be able to put him in my team in time

if you go to MY TEAM on the main screen and then to player allocation you can see how you got the players you did (having the comp consulted your wish list) and who got who and what pick they got them :D

also go topoints by category and you will see if you moved up or down in categories etc

How do you make substitutions? FFS I have a 3-4-2 formation, and the keeper's out for months!

I did Andy, I'm trying to drag and drop - nothing's dragging, nothing's dropping.

drag them on the right.. (the players name on the list) drag them from one position on the list, to another position on the list.. when u drag their name his available positions are highlighted in .. blue or green i think

when u drag and drop them miami on the list in manage team you have to save it once you have done it to show up on your team.

I do think people are getting the hang of it though :)

Will the owner open the league, i'd like to join.
