Got myself a new laptop and this new windows 7 , after a bit of finding my way around, seems much better. (Especially when a novice like myself can understand it, it must be idiot proof!)
The one thing that does annoy me is that when I click on the IE icon in the taskbar.....it wont open up multiple screens after every click. Instead, it just pops up the creen or closes it back down to the taskbar. I can access another one, either via a tab or by right clicking, then selecting one.
Is there any way I can change this so I can just click the icon and open up multiple ones?
IE is now a tabbed browser (like firefox or chrome) so you are "supposed" to use different tabs not different windows. You can set each tab up with its own (different) home page.

Thnx Ramruna, I think this is silly cos I am used to opening up 4 pages, putting 4 addys in there and then looking at the highlighted boxes when I hover over ie.....having to right click, then select the "e" is such a pain! When it aint broke, dont try to**it they say......on this occasion, they have done this!

23. Restore the Quick Launch Toolbar If you're unhappy with the new taskbar, even after shrinking it, then it only takes a moment to restore the old Quick Launch Toolbar.
Right-click the taskbar, choose Toolbars New Toolbar, type "%UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch" (less the quotes) into the Folder box and click Select Folder.
Now right-click the taskbar, clear 'Lock the taskbar', and you should see the Quick Launch toolbar, probably to the right. Right-click its divider, clear Show Text and Show Title to minimise the space it takes up. Complete the job by right-clicking the bar and selecting View Small Icons for the true retro look.
I haven't tried this myself but I think it would do what you are looking for at the expense of the new look taskbar in W7.
You can change to the original task bar:http://www.techradar.com/news/software/operating-systems/62-windows-7-tips-tricks-and-secrets-643861?artc_pg=223. Restore the Quick Launch ToolbarIf you're unhappy with the new taskbar, even after shrinking it,
angryfire, with tabbed browsers and Windows 7, you still get the effect you want: when you hover over the 'e' icon in the taskbar, it will pop up a preview of each tab. Try it.
