50-50
Report Platini • December 11, 2009 3:31 PM GMT
More like 80-20, sadly.
Report Slicer • December 11, 2009 3:35 PM GMT
I hope the following clarifies the matter:

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able, and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?

QED- End of all belief and faith.

Man made god in his own image, can't remember where I heard that but I like it

They just bend the rules to answer tough questions like that, Slicer. I once heard them argue that trying to understand God's methods is like "an ant trying to understand how a computer works".

So next time a toddler gets abducted, raped and murdered by some pervert, don't worry it's all part of the masterplan.

That's a wee bit harsh roger, I imagine if your child is unwell, any parent would to try anything even if they don't believe or agnostic about it.
I imagine your child being ill would make you question your beliefs in anyhhing

Atheism has become the new orthodoxy in the UK.

Islam is tolerated.

Christianity is frowned upon.

The new EU supremo (a Roman Catholic) said a wise thing: "Everyone has to choose whether to believe that life is either absurd, or mysterious. I choose the latter."

Me too.

Few people more irritating than militant atheists, putting up aunt sallies for the purpose of knocking them down.

I ain't got no Aunt Sally or god :( - and btw, neither have you.

The 2 are not even mutually exclusive, ffs

It's not remotely wise. It is the kind of twee and stupid false conclusion that conspiracy theorists use.
It's actually a ridiculous premise if you think about it.
