Im just back from Donating feeling rather good.

The nurse that took my blood told me my blood will be going to a child immediately as they were waiting for 4 packs of my blood type .

It feels a million times better than the best feeling you could experience.

So if yu had gone to the pub instead with your special blood a child would of died?

Sounds like too much pressure

I give blood and they always seem to have those cheese sandwich biscuits that adhere to the roof of the mouth.
Very welcome though - and washed down with a cuppa.

If they told you that then they are lieing. The blood has to be tested and treated.

What if youve got aids

I always keep a packet of TUC crackers in - very tasty.

My local donating centre supplies various varieties of small packs of Crawfords biscuits (3 in a pack) and chocolate cake, plus free coffee or orange squash.

Well done Wasnot.

For anyone else considering donating blood, all the info you need is here:

I'm afraid I'm not allowed to give blood, too much medication, but I am allowed to be an organ donor.

So while your giving blood ask for a donor card. You will have a win double up and that'll make a nice change.

I'm like a pin cushion. Very good cause. And a cheaper night out if you get right down the boozer afterwards.
