Didn't know about this sitcom until I watched the 5th episode the other night. For a big girl, she does a lot of falling flat on her face.
Well written show, but how far can she run with the same gag? People are going to tire of the show before the end of the second series. I think she'll sink without trace afterwards.

Horne and Corden sketch show 'put on hold' James Corden and Mathew Horne The pair played a number of comedy characters in the show BBC Three's Horne and Corden sketch show has been put on hold but is not being permanently axed, a spokeswoman has said. A second series "would not be feasible" due to Gavin and Stacey stars James Corden and Mathew Horne's other commitments, she added. But newspaper reports that the show has been scrapped are "not the case". The first series of the show received poor reviews despite initially strong audience figures. The opening episode attracted more than 800,000 viewers, a high for the debut of a comedy show on BBC Three. But some newspaper critics gave the show a harsh reception, with Benji Wilson of The Daily Telegraph calling it "about as funny as credit default swaps". The duo performed as a number of characters, including a gay war reporter, and portrayed an unlikely relationship between Spider-Man and Superman. The amply-sized Corden also showed off his body in a number of the skits, which were directed by Kathy Burke. |
