Saw 'em about seven years back, sans Biafra, but were still brilliant

Saw them at Northampton Roadmenders supported by UKDK (there's some namedropping for you).

Went onstage and did the ' Pol Pot' bit at the end of Holiday in Cambodia, with my new comrade in arms Mr Biafra himself!

A claim to fame and something else I couldn't claim supplementary benefit for.

^ Good one Roger. I, on the other hand, met the Sex Psitols in LA. Couldn't interest them in a drink tho :(

Went to a Banshees gig in Manc circa '78 and hung out with Siouxsie & Steve Severin for a bit backstage...they lent me a tenner for a taxi home which I faithfully repaid by post...

Great band - saw them a number of times. Still have my signed copu of California Uber Alles :-)

Holiday in Cambodia - "where you'll kiss ass, or crack"

Police Truck, a goodie too - "We're goin' downtown gonna beat up drunks, your turn to drive I'll bring the beer."

Jello Biafra - forward thinker. his manifesto in the election included a proposal that all businessmen wear clown suits between the hours of 9-5pm. Quality!

i also saw UKDK at the lyceum, cant remember who they were supporting, possibly Anti Nowhere League or Killing Joke.

the lead singer took his studded belt off and swung it around his head whilst singing "For My Country" with a giant spotlight behind him. the crowd joined in by also swinging belts around there heads. i saw a lot of bloody noses that night. :-)

just found out UKDK are still touring!!!!

and on their website, picture 27 of 78 is the singer swinging his studded belt around his head.

strange mentioning punks, i dreamt last night that i was in this place, not a concert hall, just a room, waiting for the damned to perform and dave vanian the lead singer was late, when he arrived, out of breath, he said he was f***** and it didnt look like they were gonna perform, but we did have a bit of a chinwag and he was very entertaining!

A friend of mine from years ago used to play the 'In God We Trust..' EP relentlessly
Over and over and over....

Odd hearing things again, after a break of a few years,
when it's so ingrained in the back of your mind - it's a bit bizzare

The EP is the last 8 tracks on this Spotify link (most about a minute long!!)
The 'Rawhide' cover is pretty cool
