Report Journeyman • November 30, 2009 11:20 PM GMT
Up until yesterday evening I'd have bet hard cash that Redbag had the right film.
So I let his clues ride on that basis.

Now I think a couple need slightly adjusted, which should be informative in itself.

Here we go with the alterations AND clue 17.
-------------------------------------------------------

Okay it's really clue 15. What a mess. Let's tidy it up.

Clue 1 - the film has a strong connection to something widely reported that happened this week.

Clue 2 - it has the name of a 1980s popstar in the title.

Clue 3 - It has a connection with Sci fi / Outer space

Clue 4 - The film title quite obviously changes a number for something intangible

Clue 5 - The film's most famous scene (aside from the previously mentioned murderous dwarf) involves levitation and cheap jewellery

Clue 6 - It has a girl's name in the title
REDBAG's FIRST CLUE. 100% ACCURATE

Clue 7 - The film features dance sequences and weaponary that neither stabs or shoots

Clue 8 - Specific scenes are extremely well known, although the full film was successful when it came out
ALTERED VERSION OF REDBAG'S SECOND CLUE

Clue 9 - it has a great cast
REDBAG's THIRD CLUE. 100% ACCURATE

Clue 10 - Its director and star are popular and prolific and its star is very well known
ALTERED VERSION OF REDBAG'S FOURTH CLUE

Clue 11 - Its got a great soundtrack
REDBAG's FIFTH CLUE. 100% ACCURATE

Clue 12 In one scene a scarecrow or strawman calls a dwarf "shorty" and a guy says that to do so drives him f***ing mental so he tears the strawman to bits

clue 13 - starts with letter A, ends with E and has more than four words in it

Clue 14 - No number in the title

Clue 15 - Features one of the most famous flying sequences in the history of film but your parents probably haven't seen it

Clue 16 - Something in the film is SILVER when it should be very obviously more valuable

-------------------------------------

Game on, boys and girls

One last thing.
Please stop suggesting this is a wind-up or a non existent film.
If it had been a wind-up I'd have admitted it on Friday.
This is a real movie, all the clues are fair and you should be able to work it out.

p.s. It's december, get your advent calendars out. (No that's not a clue)

I've just returned from a 4 day business trip in Barcelona to this weather and this thread i can't believe it's still going.
By the way the dwarf was not involved in the attack on the man made of straw only the third party was.The third party was upset at the dwarf being called shorty after assisting the straw man in some way who then said "thank you shorty". The third party said words similar to "that makes me f+cking mental" (yes he did actually use the F word which might help with pinpointing the year of release). Disappointing. Don't understand this fishing sh1t.

I find it pretty annoying myself.
I'm also struggling to think of any fishing thread I've been involved in.
So to be accused of it when I stated that the film was real became a bit tiring.

The main thing though is that my film does not appear to be the same as the OP's dream/sketch/fantasy
so I'd rather leave this thread for him to follow his original enquiry.

However, for those who already invested time and effort in my clues
I will post a succession of actual screencaps from the film every day from tomorrow.

I also promise to reveal the name of the film on Christmas Eve, clearly on this forum.
I do hope someone will work it out by then and restore my faith in humanity..

And that is my last post on this thread.
Take care...till tomorrow ;)
Report Brodie • December 8, 2009 6:25 PM GMT

The OP had the scenario of a dwarf ,a strawman and a normal guy who beat up the strawman becuse the strawman insulted the dwarf.
Journeyman has in mind a film where the dwarf beat up the strawman.

Ok I now have Jugador abusing me in other parts of the forum.

My intention in taking the rest of the clues off this thread was to leave it clear for you to find out the name of your own film/sketch.
Which is why I haven't posted here in over a week..!

I only posted here in the first place because I genuinely thought we were on the same page in terms of the film.
However Jugador is now esposing some theory that I'm hijacking his threads(?)
(I have only ever posted on two of his threads including this one ffs..)

However I can see that prolonging this is just going to add to the negativity
and there's no fun in for me or anyone in that scenario.

So I will post the answer on Christmas Eve as promised.
And yes I'll post it on this thread as you seem to be begging Jugador

Saves me the hassle of posting the screencaps etc so everybody's happy.
It was fun for a while but I have no interest in being stalked by some dribbling, psychotic w@nker.
Report JUGADOR MEJOR • December 8, 2009 9:14 PM GMT

You made it blatently clear from the start that you were not going to post your answer to this thread because you don't like me, thereby making all of the other forumites suffer with your petty teasing puzzles.
The cherry on the cake for myself and others was that you were wrong and did not read the original post correctly, is that anyone else's fault but your own.
I suggest you grow up and stop acting like a little girl with your stupid "I'll post the answer on christmas eve" Cr@p and keep it to yourself.
