£140 a month for me the wife and 2 kids
goes up as the kids get older as well + £20 a week for swimming and tennis for the boys so about £220 a month and I probably use it about 3 times :( must be fkin mad |
By:
Used to go to (Duncan) Bannatyne's. Think it was £32 per month, off peak. Used to be Living Well. He took over and cancelled 'free' towels. ]:)
Used to do a bit of everything, mainly six-pack work. Never noticed I had a nice toned body till about last year, when after a year out I'd filled out a bit too far. |
By:
£23 a month as paid in advance for 2 years, dont use swimming pool/tennis etc., gym is good tho
By:
I run quite a lot (lunchtimes in London) and weekends, and I have a rowing machine in the bedroom (did 30 mins after work tonight). Used to go to gym an awful lot years ago, when there was a free gym in our office, but now object to paying so much for such poor quality service.

£240 for the year at Total Fitness, great Gym
it was £480 pound a year but i joined on a promotional week where they were doing it half proce :D |
By:
gary
where is your total fitness? |
By:
Yeah I go 2-3 times a week.
I compete in Indoor Rowing and have my own ergo at home, but use the gym for core stability training (stomach, back, obliques) flexibility and lats work |
By:
Its the Teesside Total Fitness
why ? |
By:
i only ask because our total fitness (North West) is much more expensive than the prices you quote
By:
I train 7 days a week and i am 47.
Circuits twice a week, boxercise and running on the canal. On holiday i train twice a day! |
By:
Running on the canal?
Hi Jesus |
By:
which area's that in ? lancaster, bolton, wigan ?
honeslty im not lying mate, the price is £480 a year, but i got very VERY lucky indeed and when i asked they said we are on a promotional offer this week where its half price, so i joined up quick |
By:
south manchester

By:

Mon: 2 sessions. chest then triceps Tue: 2 sessions. back then biceps Wed: Pretty much a day off. Some core work and yoga Thu: shoulders Fri: legs Sat & Sun: a static stretching session and core. and 3 days a run on the beach first thing. Anyone do similar? |
By:
d13phe
all i can think is, with it being a huge city it might be even bigger, ours works out to £40 a month or £20 a month for me :D im guessing its a case of the London, Manchester etc will cost more than Teesside, Altricham etc |
By:
Think it's a competition thing. Bannatyne's has been unchallenged for years in Carlisle for offering an air-conditioned gym, with a steam room, sauna, TVs on the treadmills etc, so they've charged more than what I've seen them charge elsewhere. We've got a new gym coming next month (built to be a JJB gym ) which will challenge it amenities-wise, so maybe they'll drop the prices. Hope so. Need to get back into it before I look like a block of lard.

WEIGHTS WEIGHT AND MORE WEIGHTS
ALSO MY MAXIMUSCLE PROGAIN AND PROMAX SHAKES WORK WONDERS |
By:
Maximuscle is very over priced, you must be doing well on here.
By:
That's me as well Gary. I want to retain my trim (ish) figure for as long as I can. Men who look in shape and have a 'chiselled' face in their forties are doing all the middle-aged lady-boning. I must be in that club. :^0
By:
maximuscle around 45euros per tub
By:
Im applying for my membership to that club, so must get into shape ;)
By:
If you look at total weight of the tub and conents you get more from your money at myprotein.com.
Can get you 5% off an order aswel. Fair play if your happy with it and it's working for you. It's the equivelent of nike, many other brands equally as good and alot cheaper but they don't have the sporting celebs being paid a wad to say they use it. |
