my wife tells me its cos the tin (for instance) will taint the food, and extra metal in yr beans isnt good

If people just kept tins in their fridge instead of recycling them global temperatures could reach 500 Kelvin by 2015.

yeah, that's about it - when you open the tin, air gets in and can start to oxidise the metal etc.

Possibly because when the tin is opened, oxygen gets in and reacts with the metal, and the metal oxide cotaminates the food.

I personally think that the condensation in the fridge will get to the tin and cause iron oxide.

Does anybody agree?
