Rods music was good in his early days, he seems to have done really well just rehashing old material and covering songs ever since moving to the US, he's been getting away with this for donkeys years now and kept his millionaire status pretty easily. I don't know how he's managed it but fair play to him if you can get away with it.

Don´t get him personally but my little bro has seen him a few times and he puts on a rocking show by all accounts. Felt the same about Tom Jones but was dragged along to see him live and he was quite brilliant, two oldtimers that have stood the test of time and fair play to both of them.

I saw him a few times in the sixties with Long John Baldry (I think) and maybe Clapton? He could belt one out. OK the voice has gone a bit but compared to the absolute crap that seems to be about these days he's a star. Bit like Shirley Bassey.Not really my cup of tea but respect for a job done well.
