The clips that were constantly shown when it came out consisted of a former French footballer saying things that were supposed to be philsophical, thought provoking and mystical. The media thought this was great.
However if it had been some scrote from Longsight who had been given exactly the same lines, people would have laughed it out of town for being cliche ridden tosh.
Not seen it but I would put good money on a film that promotess itself on a faux intellectual spouting cliche ridden $hite not being that good and being some sort of fanboy love letter to Cantona. Regardless of Loach's track record.

incorrect Live Foerever. Very enjoyable film and extremely down to earth.
Just watched it, thought it was very enjoyable. Particularly the main scene near the end :^0
