Park up at Toddington and get the steam train straight into the track, pass all the traffic in comfort, well worth the money and is good fun.

I've always found The Rotunda a decent pub, and Flynns restaraunt a fine place to eat - both Montpelier area I think (I know where they are but am usually a little oiled when I get there).

Montpellier is the nicest part of town. Lots of nice restaurants and as HRH says - the pubs are good and welcoming, friendly places.
The shops there are very upmarket ( full of girld from the ladies College spending dadies inheritance).

In the centre of town there a place called the brewery that has a cinema and lots of good eateries.

The High St on the weekend is crazily busy. Its seriously like central New York city on Christmas eve. You cannot move.

There are some great villages and towns around Chelters that are well worth a visit. Winchcome, stow on the wold and Cirencester are all very quaint.

Any more questions feel free to ask.
