Centipedes. Something about the way they move makes my skin crawl. Hate wood lice, too. Glad we don't get those stag beetles here, in Scotland. Anybody seen one?

Just because they've got a couple of extra legs doesn't mean they're not insects, imo.

How can you be frightened of spiders? I have one that has lived by my my wastepaper basket doing his spider stuff for ages, I think he is male anyway. He doesn't bother me and I don't bother him plus he eats the mossies which is good news for both of us.

Did you know that earwigs get their name from the fact that they will crawl into the ears of people sleeping on the floor and wiggle about in there?

I was staying in South Africa for a while and there was this giant bug crawling on the kitchen floor sending the hosts into a hissy fit.

Apparently if you trod on it or p1ssed it off in anyway it would squirt
loads of noxious fluid everywhere. I think they called it a Parktown Prawn - looked like a chav locust.

After negotiations it left the building. Nasty piece of work it was.

I live in the city so I had not come across a delighful creature called a Dragonfly 'til I was in my teens.

This great big thing flew into the garden like a feckin dive-bomber.

Loudest buzz I've ever heard and I was ducking for dear life.

The only insect that has got my heart pumping thru sheer fright!
