Will Sky give me a year for half price ?

Left Sky about 4 months ago, Got a letter 2 weeks ago, asking me to re-subscribe. 6 months at half price. Did this and was switched back on last thursday. Received in post today another letter asking me to re-join for half price for a year. Rang Sky to get the extra 6 months, The nice Scottish lady couldn't update my subscription and suggested i write to customer care.
