you grate it and then sprinkle it literally in the beans.. and then warm them as it says on the side of the tin.

Mmmn cheesey beans. Not enough people do this IMO. Just be careful with the cheese, you don't want to over do it.

Beans on cheese on toast ... is it the lunch of choice for the Betfairian ?

For me the cheese in the beans is a complete no-no.

Cheese on toast with a fried egg on top with the yolk broken all over it is great.

I had beans on cheese on toast for breakfast and a toasted cheese n beans sandwich just now .. both with hot sauce of course

For maximum gratification the cheese has to be grated on top of the beans, mixing the two is not the forward imo. A liberal splashing of HP sauce is generally the rule also.

Funnily enough just had the same(ish)
4 slices of hovis seed sensation (2 buttered, 2 with houmous)
Then some extra mature cathedral city grated over them.
then the branston baked beans over top
followed by an ommellete on that and half a chicken breast.
yum :)

I generally fry a couple of rashers of bacon (chopped up) then add 1/2 a tin of beans (without much of the sauce preferrably, a pinch of chilli powder, and some mature cheese (mild has no taste). All cooked on a low heat til the cheese has melted. On 2 slices of toast.
If no bacon, ham will do (no need to fry this first).

The colour isn't great, but it's well yum
