Get your directions free from AA routefinder before you leave the house and save £120 imo

Don't really need one, but are they any good on PAYG mobile phones?
Do you have to pay?

If not for directions they are worth their weight in gold for informing you about the road ahead, especially in the dark.....

ive had tom tom for years but now due to software changes they have made you cannot do all searches by full postcode , you have to put a street number in. ive had countless arguments with them via email about this , it is a pointless change imo. if you only have a postcode to work off, in a lot of cases you are forced to enter a street number , now you may think that isnt bad but when you get a road that has numbers up to 900 what number do you put?? i was down a road that i was forced to put the recommended number in and my destination was 2 miles away !!! hopeless, to me if you know the street number then you know the street so what is the use of a postcode search?

that cant be right.

agree the postcode issue is a bit of an annoyance sometimes.

Tomtom 540 is great.....with Live Services you can google anyplace (eg. Bank, MacDonalds, petrol) and you can find nearest...

I still dont get what you mean about the postcode, if you dont enter a number it will take you to the centre of that postcode area.....

I bought a lower spec version of this last year, you can put Tom Tom software onto it (for free) but I find the software that came with it adequate enough.

£57 (I think I paid £45)
