I cast it open to UK residents, to see what others say. Obviously you have to take into account where you live, so itmay help if you state the general area you are in.

Q1.
Which three of these local issues do you consider to be of the most concern to you ?

A) Education
B) Council Tax levels
C) Jobs
D) Refuse collection
E) Leisure facilities
F) Public transport
G) Immigration
H) Speeding traffic
I) Protection of Green Belt
J) Rising crime
K) Other

E, H and I , for me
======================================
Q2.
Policing is a big issue. Which of the following do you think will help our local police to tackle crime more ?

A) More C.C.T.V.
B) Zero tolerance for minor offences
C) More PCs on the beat
D) Mandatory minimum sentencing
E) Other

No answer, for me. Very little crime in this area.
======================================
Q3.
How safe do you feel in your neghbourhood?

A) Very safe
B) Quite safe
C) Very unsafe
D) A little safe
E) Never go out after dark

A, for me
======================================
Q4.
Do you think that the local health service in the last tear has

A) Got worse
B) Not changed
C) Got better

B, for me
======================================
Q5.
Do you think you get good services from your local council for the taxes you pay ?

A) Yes
B) No
c) Unsure

A, for me
======================================
Q6. What one change could be made to this area that would make a significant improvement. (No idea how many words you can fit on to the form on the page, but you get one line of space)

A nice new gravelled drive for me, mine's a bit tatty.
======================================
Q7.
What are the priorities for local transport (please number 1,2,3, in order of priority)

A) Extra buses
B) More speed cameras
C) Traffic calming
D) Aditional cycle lanes
E) Greater spending on roads
F) More investment in railways
G) Quicker repairs of roads amd pavements

E, G, B, for me.
I don't travel with the great unwashed, and the nearest big town, Wisbech, has no railway station. If I worked in Wisbech it would have to be F, as traffic is diabolical due to not enough buses.
=======================================
Q8. Local government reorganisation is a big issue. Which of the following would improve local services?

A) Retain the status quo with services split between Norfolk County Council and the Borough of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk.

B) Abolish the Borough of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk and transfer all functions to Norfolk County Council.

C) Set up a new unitary authority based on Kings Lyn and West Norfolk.

Makes no difference, for me.
In west Norfolk we come under a PE postcode anyway, and get conned into paying more for house or car insurance as we get affiliated with Wisbech (Cambs) not Kings Lynn.

=======================================
What do other chit chatter say about their area ?

It's a very strangely worded piece, presumably put together to justify some upcoming policy change. Who the hell feels 'a little safe'?

8 Transposing the question to London - Happy enough with the local government structure, but it's about time that Scottish MPs were banned from voting on health and education matters that do not affect their own constituents.

Live in south east London by the way.
