ebay seems to be a law unto itself. There is no way to contact anyone except by email, and even then if you try to use this route you'll just get a 'standard response'.
They seem to take no responsibility for anything which happens through their organisation, as can be evidenced on their forum. |

I accidently ended up on one of their forums and I was amazed how many people were complaining they hadn't received items. I paid with Paypal and thought my payments were covered come what may. I am so p***** off!!

I had a gud un
Paid by Paypal An mp4 player, listed brand new, got it for £30 in the e bay bidding...item arrived it wouldn.t work upon arrival .. got in touch with the guy and he said "Sorry -no refunds"... Got in toucjh with E Bay/Paypal They said "Get an electrical shop to look at it and let us know what is wrong ,and then we will consider a refund situation " Went to 2x shops both said £30 for that mate , but we knock it off the cost of thhe repair" But I didn't want a repair .. So Ie mailed back to Paypal + said "The item cost me £30 ,the shop wants £30 to do the paperwork tyou require , and if I pay that you will then "consider" whether I get my original £30 back ??" "Do I ALSO GET THE £30 Ive shelled out to get my £30 back ? " "NO it doesn't work like that " SO I had the choice of paying ANOTHER £30 to "maybe" get my original £30 back if I caught Paypal on a good kind day or just forget it " I forgot it and then wrecked the guys business by contacting every one of his potential bidders over the next 6 months and telling them what a CON merchant he was ... He had cancelled bids all over the place and kept putting messages up like "Re-advertised due to Timewasters "...then after 6 months I sent him an e mail to let him know and closed that account of mine ...maybe he won't do it again ....hopefully ... |
