I was there for a wedding on a weekend that co-incided with the Pope's visit. This was bad planning, because an edict went out in deference to his Holiness, that whilst he was in town, selling alcohol would be prohibited throughout the city.

Fortunately, we had hired a mini-bus and one of the boys drove around a 200 mile round trip and filled it up with an extraordinary amount of booze. But its not the same as drinking in a bar.

Until one bright spark suggested, surely the bordelloes will be serving drinks. Made sense, and off we went.

They weren't. In the name of religion therefore, at said establishment, you could have three girls licking your knob for a fee, but for religious considerations, you weren't allowed a beer with that.

A strange place.
