In the true sense.

A sharp forceful blow, preferably to the side of the jaw, wobbling it and rendering the recipient dazed and unable to respond quickly or astutely'

From collins concise. Love it

I have by the way. Teach her to burn the bacon....

i have, both in the ring and once in a nightclub. it doesnt take a massive punch to put someone in trouble just needs to be on the chin.

unfoprtunately the nature of boxing training means you always go for the centre of the target which is cheek, nose or side of head depending on punch. thus making it far more difficult to knock someone out.

A perfect "chinning" is pretty rare tbh and mainly done if you cant defend yourself,ie some lump coming from your blind side and hitting you plumb on the point of your chin.

Many moons ago there was a large ruckaass in a bermondsy boozer (the lemon? or soemthing) we foolishly thought we could get a few drinks there (burnley fans) any it all all went mental and i took a few whacks and gave afew out etc.Anyway my knuckles were cut and hand really sore and after a couple of days it got a bit infected...only to find a lump of tooth lodged inbetween fore and middle finger! The moral of the story dont hit people in the gob!

I got punched on the side of the Jaw by a doorman in a Nightclub when i could hardly stand up, i was Not knocked out but my ear was ringing for 24 hours.
2 Months afterwards when he thought he had got away with it, an "incident occured" in that Nightclub and that doorman involved with me, has never worked since, in fact he lost enough blood to start a Black Pudding factory.

This is why it's better to use the palm. It goes straight to the chin naturally and you don't break your hand, which is almost inevitable if you hit somebody hard with a fist.

There is no feeling as horrible as chinning somebody accurately and they just stand there. The stuff of nightmares.

What an odd place to admit a serious GBH(possible attempted murder) and even worse possibly conspiracy.I'd keep your head down if i were you wouldn be the 1st time someone on betfair has had the full details sent to the authorities.

Bouncer punched me right on the nose with out warning,I threw him all over the pub smashing tables and chairs before I knocked him to the ground and started banging his head on the floor, lucky for him and me I was dragged of him.I`m peaceful person till hit then I lose it big time.I`m not proud of the fact, but it was the way I was raised, first time an older kid beat me up I went in crying to my dad, thinking he was going to sort him out.Reality was different, my dad told me in very forcefull terms to get out there and hit him as hard as I could,he said I don`t care if you win or lose just let him know you aren`t going to take it.To be fair to my dad this did stop kids from bullying me.
