assuming you can remember stuff from when you're about 4... when you're 14, one year is 1/10th of everything you can remember. When you're 54 it's 1/50th.

(then once you get to about 84 and forget everything that happened before lunch, time starts going slower again. Simples)

Think the regestering of time has more to do with memory and as your memory goes time speeds up because you have less to relate the past to.

Scientifically, time is not constant, absolute Newtonian time was shown false by Einstein.

Had dinner with one of my nephews last week, he is 16 and 6' 4''. It seems only yesterday I used to treat him to a few quid and a pizza, a grown man now..

If your young make the most of it or you,ll regret it later.

I prefer my life now at 52 but i can think of all the time i wasted when younger because i thought life goes on forever. Who thought they would ever be old?

When you are 10 ...the next year is 10% of your life + seems it

When you are 20 ...the next year is 5% of your life + seems it


When you are 40 ...the next year is 2.5 % of your life + seems it

When you are 50 ...the next year is 2% of your life + seems it

When you are 100 ...the next year is 1% of your life + seems it

time is a cosntant.. its just theres more to entertain us nowadays so it may give the illusion of it going quicker, but obviously it doesnt

I agree with aziraphale and joe jordan.

You perceive time to be going more quickly as you get older.

I actually try to counteract it! Packing loads of stuff into your life slows it down a bit. If you get bogged down into a work and weekend routine, time will ebb away imo

besides - we're spinning faster.

I read recently a study that was made into this very subject, which deduced that as we grow older our lives become more and more routine so that when we look back on the year, we don't have those standout moments to break up our memoriesand so the year seems to have flown by.

Wheras when we were young almost every day was an adventure, it concluded that if us old 'uns did something out of the norm for us, i.e. going to cinema, theatre, going for a hike, anything different at least once a month that time would slow down again.
