I suspect he fell out with the Mrs over a refusal to do something

He said "he'd do anything for love, but that"

highly unlikely that an indivdual of Tiger's calibre reversed into a hydrant and then proceeded to drive into a tree under normal circumstances.

Arguement about an alleged affair, she scratched his face, he went to drive off at 2.30am to escape his hysterical wife, she smashed the back of his 4 x 4 with a golf club. Distracted, he hit a fire hydrant and tree.

Obvious, really.

This doesn't stack up for me.

This took place outside a neighbouring property

Now this is not a Barratt estate!

These properties are well seperated yet she had left the house after the crash and, luckily,
she was carrying a golf club, for some reason.

Why was she carrying a golf club?

Ah, you say, she wasn't! She got it out of the car!

So why need to smash the back window, to get him out, if the door was unlocked?

Hmmmmmm!
