As a Iron Maiden fanatic i think i can give a definitive answer here.

The Trooper - will never be bettered, one of the very few(cant think of any other) songs that actually make you belive if you close your eyes, you are actually at the event the song signifies...The Charge Of The Light Brigade. The guitars play exactly like the sound of thundering hoofs of the horses as they race to face the mighty roar of the russian guns. An all time classic and one of the very few songs everyone should listen to before they die.

Saw them in Cardiff on the Powerslave tour many moons ago.
Report The Priest November 27, 2009 11:42 PM GMT
Seen them a few times and never give less than 101%

Even the tour with Blaze was good, down to earth and played smaller venues.

1. Prowler (nap)
2. Innocent Exile
3. Murders in the Rue Morgue
4. Wrathchild
5. Remember Tomorrow

Great great tunes! And a pioneering (at the time) fusion of punk and metal.
Then Di'Anno left, taking all the grit with him, and they became the 'sons of Priest' pantomime they are now.

Mmm that came out a bit harsher than I meant.

They're obviously exceptionally skilled musicians and Harris a great bandleader.
Just not my cup of tea after about '83.
