It's comodo internet security and I uninstalled it the other day unsing remove programs
I go to reinstall it yesterday as it turns out this wasn't the problem with my pc but when I go to reinstall it my pc says it's already installed - cannot see it under programs, done a search of files containing the word comodo
Not sure how to proceed

Have you tried other keywords (eg security)?
and make sure you check hidden files and folders too.

Run ccleaner. Also try and manually delete any remaining files left over from your previous unistall of comodo.
Have a look under Program Files Comodo or anything similar and just manually delete.

Why did you need to uninstall it?
