Bought something from ebay and the seller cancelled my echeque. On the paypal "help" page it says i get a refund into my Paypal account. 2 days later it still isn't there - I expected it to be instantaneous - anybody know??

the e-cheque refund will go into your bank account
our whatever sousre it came if you had the funds in your actual paypal account it would go back there but as its an echeque you paid by it will go back to whereever it came from |

There's probs no worse company on earth to deal with but your e-cheque will go back to wherever it came.
They onyl send money as e-cheques if your ac doesnt have any form so you could be waiting anything upto 7-10 days to get back into your ac. |

Paypal is fine until something goes even slightly wrong and you have to contact them.
Then it is a living nightmare. |

i once spent literally months dealing with paypal. theyre a total joke of a company

They aren't a bank you see (and would never want to be) so they bascially make up the rules,no banking covenants and laws for them.
They are of course regulated but have such a powerfull hold over the customer,that the average drone buying bits and pieces of ebay thinks they are wonderfull "coz me money's safe" They account for close to 2/3's of Ebay's company profit and have one of the most powerfull legal teams in the usa. We made a tiny postal error once,(we printed off their postage but ended up sending via our mail ac) and the customer put a claim in (missing parcel) then as we didnt use the pp we had no tracking this triggered off a nightmare 2 weeks where £1000's were held in our account and we very nearly went to the wall,sending endless faxes etc to pp.Talk about losing the will to live!! Best business advice i ever had was NEVER have more than 25% of your takings going through PP as they can literally cripple you. On a "seethe" scale they would have you "puce like,seething and perpendicular with boiling rage" |
