I am a British patriot but i would like to know the forums opinion on this question.

we can see the war happened from documentaries
there has to be a time when we eventually move on and forget plenty of wars from over a hundred years ago which are never mentioned now i suppose there's a cycle on it and in 30 years there won't be much mention of ww2 pretty much all the survivors will be dead |

WW1 is memorable because
millions and millions died, unlike any other war, except for WW2 it was also very gruesome etc |

yes but it's not like germany are our enemy is it? They were during the war and that is what counts. Our brave war dead faught to defend their way of life and ours now. If you have dark hair or dark eyes be thankful you are alive. |

yet when the combined forces of the military superpowers of the usa and uk attack a virtually defenceless people they are hailed as heroes. what's wrong with this picture? i wouldn't call the soldiers marauding through afghanistan heroes- i'd be ashamed. |
