Google 'at sign', then copy and paste, every time you need it. You'll be online anyway. ;)

he just formatted.. so its bound to be the wrong keyboard settings..

goto control panel (click classic view) then regional and language settings

then click the languages tab.. then click details.. then add the uk, and select it as default
click ok.. and remove the US setting

Did you restore your computer to factory setting? if you did.. then you probably have USA settings for your keyboard... reset to English UK ....not English USA
