my laptop has worked perfect for ages but today it wont connect automatic like usual and cant even find it when i look to connect to devices.it will work when i conncect ethernet cable direct from router. any ideas how to solve this problem please

TBF your wireless card could be bust & may need replacing/or just get a usb adapter. It happened to me.

its now saying when i go to connect to network ' the settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements for the network

I has this after my daughter borrowed my laptop. I had to ferret about all over the place and delete network connections she had put in to connect to her aol mess

try disabling your wireless network connection, then enable.

startcontrol panelnetwork connections

then right click on your wireless network connection icon

this will open a small window

click on disable

wait a few seconds the right click again and select enable

My Wi-Fi also playing up. Doesn't work well if i move more than 3 or 4 metres from the router. Is it the card in the pc (Dell) or the router?
