It's not for me, you understand - it's for the kids.

I'm doing well at the golf, but Mrs G keeps beating me at the swordfighting.

Was thinking of getting it myself - any idea what the new PES is like on it???

I quite like the sports resort stuff: Tennis, Golf, Swordfighting etc. because they're different to the usual games and take advantage of the different input mechanism. I can get a good driving game on all the other platforms, but Wii is good for things like bowling etc.

i saw a console today for £24.99 that was like a cheap version of the Wii with 40 games built in, the games looked like your run if the mill basic games but it had Golf and stuff on and the controls looked like they worked the same as the Wii and i cant imagine many people buy the Wii for the quality of the graphics etc

i think it was called Zone40 , cant really go wrong at that price for somethign for the kids to play on now and again can you ?

Think I'll give the cricket a miss. I keep hitting the roof on the Frisbee Gold trying to get out of the bunkers so I can't imagine bowling without losing knuckle skin.

Yes you can, they are rubbish. No playability at all.

Eg. baseball - you either miss completely or hit the same home run in the same direction each time.

Golf - you birdie every single hole as there is no variation in shots. Tee off, onto green, in hole, even if you try to bugger it up.

Tennis - you can only hit the ball straight up the court no matter what you try to do and then wait for the computer to eventually hit a winner.

Terrible waste of money even at that price - better off taking your money to a knocking shop and asking if you can have a look at a flange for that price.

I've found this to be the case.

No, I've triple bogey'd quite a few. :)

Definitely not - you can cross court or up the line quite effectively.

Terrible waste of money even at that price - better off taking your money to a knocking shop and asking if you can have a look at a flange for that price.

Hmm. Does it really cost £150 just for 'a look' now?

Yes Goring I was talking about the Zone 40 so don't worry, the price of call girls has not rocketed excessively. For £150 I'm sure you get to sniff it and talk to it as well.
Report V4 Vendetta November 24, 2009 9:41 AM GMT
You can get two girls to do a one hour massage and finish with hand relief while the other sits on your face according to big Kev in the office here (who's alledgedly an authority). £160 up Olympia way.

i might buy a Wii , seem like decent fun, played mario kart and loved that had a go on a Wii Fit and that was ok as well, are they likely to go down in price after xmas though or do the prices on these consoles not change much

Wii Chess is good, Göring. It uses the 'loop chess engine' which came 3rd in the 2007 world computer chess championships so it is a very strong game on the harder levels. It also has decent online support so you can play players from all over europe.
