Cheaper than usual or just cheap?

For the latter, it's hard to beat Sainsbury's curry sauce, fluctuating in price between 4p and 9p.

The Morrissons pre-Christmas offer thing is quite good. Buy five lots of £40 of shopping before Santa turns up & you get a £25 voucher off your next £40 buy. Obviously you have to commit a lot of cash to get the offer, but I'd say Morrissons is one of the cheaper supermarkets in the UK anyway.

6 x £40 = £240

£25 / £240 = 10.4 % discount.

Worth it?

if you are going shopping anyway, presume that you'll spend 40 quid anywhere, yes.

Leopard - I thought that, but on the basis that you can stock up on booze & that you normally spend more on food (& presents - CDs etc) at this time of year it's probs just about worth it, esp if there are any branches of Morrissons close to where you live or work. A lot of their stuff is fairly heavily discounted anyway.
