bicycles, imo.
i can remember, (and this is going back) a half decent bike would have cost 3 figures.
I was in a store yesterday, a very nice looking bike, all terrain tyres, soft saddle, 18 speed gears, 70 euros, ffs.

2 years ago, i took my laptop, with the dongle, from here in Portugal, to uk.
I played 2 poker tourneys, won both, about 500 dollars.
Got back here and connection was shut off.
Went to shop to ask why, she said i had 2 bills to pay, one for 550 euros, and other for 600 euros.
Roaming charges, just like a mobile phone, i hadn't even thought about it.

Whilst doing some DIY on a old terraced house recently came across a local newspaper from 1981 in a old cupboard. There was a full page advert for Comet or Curry's they had the following:

22" colour TV (with remote!) £580.00
Microwave oven £240.00
VHS video recorder £350.00
Washing machine £650.00

It also had a very tasty advert for a Ford Capri £500, but it's probably gone now!

If everything is getting cheaper then why does the government keep getting more expensive?

Top rate of income tax heading for 60% and VAT 20%.

You heard it here first.

I paid £13.99 for my first CD in 1988ish.
Record companies said it was down to the cost of a raw material Cd, even though the US average price was $8-10

I now download all my music on free P2P sites

Just getting back what the greedy feckers owe me
