Looked in Auto Trader and Parkers but they don't cover cars so old!!

P(96) reg, 95000 miles, MOT til April, paintwork fine, central locking dodgy, (drivers door only unlocks via the boot or the passenger door keyhole!), tatty inside.

Looking to buy a four/five year old Xsara Picasso 2.0 Desire diesel as a replacement - anyone got any experience of these - good or bad - please?

Thanks for your help,

Mad.

Trade it in, for the absolute cheapest new car you can find, and get 2k allowance under the
idiot government scrappage scheme!

Next sell it for a, hopefull, proft (if lucky take a Xsara Picasso in px) and you are sorted!

£200, really. No one wants big old cars.

get it valeted inside and out at one of the empty garage forecourts car wash teams. I sold an R reg polo about 3 years ago- good bodywork, but 170K on the clock, also problems with central locking, electric windows etc. put it in autotrader for £1000 no takers. dropped to £500 and about 4 or 5 dealers rang up. one came over and tried to haggle me down to £300, but I said I had others waiting, so he paid £500 cash. I feel sorry for the poor person who he sold it to, but not my problem.

as this is now 3 years older, you might be lucky to get £300 or so

madhatter.............
Take a look at this...

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/EDITORIAL/CARS/FEATURES/ADVICE/get_a_new_car_on_scrappage_for_under_5000_pounds.html

Like I said above, you can then deal out of it, to get whatever you want!
