The ultimate refreshment when you're abroad. Then you try it three months later in Britain and it disappoints. Then you go abroad and find it to be the ultimate refreshment. Then you try it three months later in Britain and it disappoints.

Repeat purchases and emotions till death.

Similar situation with San Miguel. Love it when in Spain, come home and drink it and tastes like pish.

UK brewed San Miguel is nasty stuff.

Spanish is OK, but the best in the world is the original - Philippines brewed.

I once got terribly, terribly drunk in Paris and did awful things. The following morning I sat outside a cafe and had 3 Oranginas in an effort to rehydrate. They were good but I've never been look them in the eye since. Guilt by association.

They were also bloody expensive, now I think about it.

I've not tried that yet, going to SE Asia for a month in Feb so will hunt it down.

The one I've had is brown bottle with the white label stencilled on.

Egg..

Thats the pale pilsen in the wee dumpy bottle.. thats the standard one and is good.. its brother supoerdry is better.. its like a cross of bottles of miller and Colt 45 with great bite.

the last one in their family is Red Horse.. also known as "Horse P iss " by the locals.. its their equviliant of frosty Jack or Tennats Super, but is actually quite drinkable

I want to go to manilla right now and bathe with several naked students..

Was waiting for the Star Ferry back to Kowloon when I spotted it in a fridge.

Ended up missing a ferry or 2 as I kept cracking another one on the quayside cos I couldn't believe how good they were.
