I did a labouring job - backfilling a trench in america for 3 hours. Didn't get the sack just was walking down the street and asked if thy wanted any help - Was hard work with some brazillians there too - 15 bucks an hour - but he paid me sixty bucks. Not bad I suppose. Does that count?

15 years with Prudential before being made redundant - Went it alone as an IFA/Mortgage Adviser in 2000, which is really a continuation without an employer... almost 25 years if counted.

Shortest a few hours as a professional punter :D

Turned up at my new job as a delivery driver for a kitchen fitters firm. Told to reverse van up to shutters which i did then was told to help load van. When i pointed out this was not in my contract and was specifically told not to do anything other than drive was told "like it or lump it" so i fecked off. Reversing van 10 yards= 30 seconds.

Alastair Down visited to John Oxxs' yard recently. Johns father had the yard before him.

2 members of the stable staff have been there 44 and 46 years.

I don't think anybody on here will top that.

Shortest, 8 months as a postman. They refused to supply me with a uniform, (which was fine :^0), because I scored 100% on the entry test and they said I would never stick it out with them. Then I was run over by one of the lorries in the parking bay driven by a lunatic, and my manager wouldn't let anyone call an ambulance or even take me home. Seemed like a good reason to quit.

Longest, 16 years as recording studio technician/ engineer/ manager which I am still am today. No where near as much money in the industry as there used to be, but I still would never give it up. Had a brilliant if somewhat surreal time.

BIG CHARLIE couldn't lie straight in bed...

The guy likes to make up stories about being a 'diamond geezer' yet when push comes to shove can never back up his statements.

Professes undying love for Muhammed Ali but would never countenance a female member of his family marrying him?!!!

Argues about the removal of my threads then claims it wasn't him who told tales...

The guy just cannot be trusted as all nazis cannot be trusted.
