Managed to get the ones with the hotel package, expensive but at least the seats are near the front.

logged in a 8am on the dot. tried to get floor tickets, but too slow.

im not paying £40 to sit in the rafters and watch him on the big screen. may as well wait for the dvd if you're going to do that.

In a few concerts he is sorting out his next five year's yuletide income. 2010 he'll release the DVD, 2011 the DVD bundled with his last one, 2012 "The Best of Peter Kay", 2013 the same thing with an added commentary or equivalent **.

Seriously, the live stand-up gig he did was good. However, he has hawked and shilled that material for the last five years at least and made mediocre TV shows in the process with the creativity of a moth. Should swallow his pride, go back to Spikey & Fitzmaurice, and make Phoenix Nights again, the only truly great thing he has been a part of

I believe it's a 10,000 seater arena at Manchester, that's a massive venue for a stand-up comic.

I find him a bit hit-and-miss, when he is on form he is very funny, but with his stand-up and TV shows
doesn't always hit the mark. But brilliant at his best.

Kays stand up work so well because his audeince is titally in his hand and he only needs to fart to set the place roaring.

I've never known more more submissive audiences than Kays but thats a bl00dy tough trick to pull off.

He was good live though , not anhthing like say a young on form Billy Connolley or a gag maestro like Manning but still a good show.

He lets things down a bit with the need to sing though imo.

Phoenix was superb though right up there with blackadder, coogan,Fawlty and the peep show.

In a 2,000 seat concert hall he can pull it off, but his style might not work so well
in a less intimate setting like a 10,000 seater arena.
