its for charity
By:
yes, bit of an odd post.
By:
charity begins AT HOME... not FROM HOME
By:
just think... if the BBC spared families the cost of the licence fee... how much more dosh families would have to spend on their poor little kiddies in NEED.... as opposed to lining the pockets of Jonathon WOSS and co...
By:
agree sunderland
at least the money for this one stays in the country though the situation in africa hasnt improved one jot in the 50 odds years (it seems!) of Live Aid etc .... suggest too many are taking their cut before (if it even does) it reaches those that need it and the level of entertainment is crap |
By:
when you watch the documentaries, you see the money is going to great use, so as far as Children in Need is concerned i think its a great event
By:
i'm getting ready for the next one
pollishing my red nose then going to stick it on my sierra so much fun and for such a good cause |
By:
people who think children in need is a great event = mugs in my opinion
By:
If the BBC didn;'t have the license fee it wouldn't exist, and the nation's greatest programmes, so popular with the viewers, wouldn't exist. And nor would this hugely successful event.
By:
'charity begins AT HOME... not FROM HOME'
What are you saying? |
By:
sparky
this is the guy who has just called me a mug for supporting a charity event, he's obviously not worth conversing with |
By:
Well I wouldn't say all charity events are necessarily worthwhile, but if you're going to make a claim you need to back it up...before calling people mugs, of course.
By:
well ofcourse, but im not saying that, i think its obvious w are discussing C I N which in my opinion is a good event, even if in most minds its not, still unnessesary for that
By:
if this country worked as it should... and tax revenue was alocated correctly... (just in the way household budgets are alocated throughout the land) then there would be no need to ask the public for charitable donations IMO
By:
Indeed, and judging by its success, there's little negativity towards it, just a bitter...and as you've rightly observed, unpleasant few.
By:
To Gary :-)

GB - whilst i dont doubt that Comic Relief do a great job, its worth nothing when the local militias come in and just take it from those who need it
agree with sunderalnd - we have helped the world for 20 odd years with these telethons - now we are in deep recession i wonder if Africa will do one for us! (joke!) |
By:
i understand the point being made, but as this is they way life is
if we dont give money to these C I N then it wont just make the BBC all of a sudden stop license fees will it, so thats why we should still do it |
By:
the local militias of...where?
By:
It's Children in Need by the way, you're a few months out.
By:
And miles.
By:
If I want to donate to a charity I donate to a charity. I don't need an evening of hlafwit TV to encourage me.This crap is *****with everything. *****with every damned thing.
By:
:)
he's just gearing up for a big comic relief donation imo ;) |
By:
but dobbo it clearly works
By:
just whizz it thru on fast forward when they start the begging bit (sky+) nap
By:
It raises peanuts.
By:
FINGERS CROSSED THEY DONT BEAT LAST YEARS TOTAL... THAT WILL BE A SIGN THAT THE DAYS OF THIS CRAP ARE LONG AND TRUELY OVER!!!
By:
what do you have against children Sunderlandfan?
By:
They will never let it happen
By:
I feel embarrased for all of them playing the fool and that
By:
sparkmaster. 21 Nov 01:46
the local militias of...where? I believe the continent of Africa has been in a perpetual state of war since ... well a long time before I was born maybe naming a few african countries without militia would be quicker although not necesaary easier |
By:
thanks john humble
By:
Nope, go ahead, name those supported by Children In Need.
By:
sparkmaster - i understand you want to give to an organised charity event but not everyone falls for it
I wonder if Terry is picking up his £50k this year? |
By:
yet again, name these local militias supported by Children in Need.
By:
I know these things are puke making but a quote from my four yeard old grandson.
My other daughter is pregnant and he heard them discussing it and he asked what they were talking about. She said "I might be having a baby" He said: "Or a lion" |

sorry £10k so if this mug gets paid for a charity event, you cant expect hard up folks to shell out cash |
By:
yet again, name these local militias supported by Children in Need.
By:
