I've typed up a 50 page document on Microsoft Word. Never used Word before (or even a word processor), but getting the hang of it. Intended printing 26 copies (1300 pages) on my Canon printer. To my horror, a nearly new ink cartridge ran dry after just 100 pages. At nearly £10 for a cartridge, this is looking expensive. Anyone know what the cheapest way to do this is?

Go to office on the sly, pretend its a monthly budget report.

Or buy a laser printer.

Computer numpty, me. Don't know anything about discs. I could take the finished document to a printers though. Got to be cheaper. Heck, I'd be cheaper doing it on the library photocopier.

There was a thread on here extolling the virtues of continuous ink delivery systems.

Basically they are tanks that you mount on top of your printer and save $$$$$.

Loads on eBay eg.

Thanks. Just phoned up the local printer. He was just finishing work and gave me an 'off the top of his head' quote of about £20 for 30 copies of a 50 page document! I hope he heard me right!

if it's just black and white by a basic laser printer and print it on that.
