Not where I live.
And for £5-80 they (mostly eastern Europeans) do 12 hour shifts rolling over on to weekends as well. Most are employed by parasitic agencies, and they get paid double what they pay the worker. If companies get caught employing illegal immigrnats it's a £10k fine per illegal person........unless you're Baroness Scotland of course. I approached one company about 20 miles from here after I did a few days agency work there. I said it was plainly obvious that I wasn't an immigrant, illegal or otherwise, and offered to work there directly for less than they pay the agency, but more than the agency pay the worker. 'We don't hire directly' was the answer. I hope they go skint. |

Charlie exactly, Agency takes all the risk, It's the same with a lot of companies all self-employed takes the risk away of being sued people not turning up e.t.c cant say I blame them in some respects but does'nt help your situation

So do you want to be "the flame thrower man", "the white tape man" or "the sitting in the van men"?
Held up again at the railway barriers, earlier in the year ,when I witnessed this pantomime! Parked on the verge is a raiway workers van withe 2 guys having a kip! Heres the action........... The white tape man cuts off a length, of the stuff, and sticks it on the pavement, in front of the barriers, whilst the flame thrower man stands and watches! Now the flame thrower man waves the torch, over the tape, whilst the white tape man stands and watches. Having completed this arduous task they then wait for the barriers to rise so they can do the same at the other side! So it took 4 men to stick down 2 pieces of white tape!!! Where can you join? |
