6 quid for a pizza and a side salad in the lunchtime menu, great food and value for money with excellent service. Can't ask for more than that.

Black Angus steak house, Ilford, closed down a few years ago. I was a friend of the owner.

Samrat Indian restaurant, Plaistow. I know the owner from my days in the betting shop. Always got a bargain when we went there. Not been for about 5 years now since we moved up here. Last time was a 12 strong party with a 9-00 booking. Great food and service, left there at just before 1-00 a.m. Total charge £100. Always handy to do people favours but take no money for it. ;)

I think it's £4.95 for the lunchtime special, which is cafe prices.

Eaten there loads of times. A splendid establishment

Favourite restaurant for very happy memories: The Monzil in Hanley, S-O-T - now closed down because of rats!

I thought it was a legal requirement for all buildings in Hanley to have a resident rat!!
