a site for morons
By:
the second coming according to majority of people in the world. pile of sh!te if you ask me
By:
I quite like to know that people have "just ate a bag of crisps". Cretins!
By:
pile of useful networking sh!te imo
By:
sad place, sad to think people need new online `friends`.
By:
Completely irrelevant and pointless. A pal of mine recently had a clear out of his face-book friends by deleting all the so-called "friends" he had never met!!
Its for pond-life, nerds and those deeply sad individuals who watch X-factor, read The Sun and wander around half asleep with earphones in (listening to mass produced "baby, baby" music) because they are exhausted after a 13 hour shift on World of Warcraft, or that other **e where you have an avatar in a make believe world!!!! These are the people who do not respect anyone and will ultimately destroy this fragile planet The me, me , me generation. Should be banned! Rant over. |
By:
agree with a lot of the above, however I have lately made contact with a colleague and friend I havent seen for 12 years, worth it just for that
By:
if you'd stayed in touch in the first place...
By:
yeah like its always possible when peoples careers change direction suddenly
By:
it should be imo
By:
I would guess with alot of ppl who aren't on facebook probably don't want othersl who used to know them find out what a loser they have become, or turned out to be ugly etc.
Likewise ppl that use facebook all the time and update their status constantly are usually exactly the same as the above minus self awareness. |
By:
What makes me laugh is when a couple split up. What's the first thing they do?
Confide in their friends and family? Get pi$$ed with thier mates and drown their sorows? Beg for the partner to take them back? No...they log in and update their profile. Feckin saddos |
By:
but why would you not be in contact with people you are bothered about?
do people really care what people they've never contacted in years think? surely a reason they don't talk any more. and how would they discover your life story from fb or even care? as again, there will be a reason you lost touch. |
By:
Good for organising things and staying in contact with people you don't see often or live far away.
By:
It's got it's uses.
I got a sh8g out of it. Someone i hadn't seen for about 14 years got in touch. I fancied her when i was younger, but she was with someone at the time. |
By:
have people never heard of email, msn or mobile phones
By:
I agree its a load of old cobblers in the main, and complete saddo's who log on all the time should be shot, but it does have its uses. When i was travellin it was easy to stay in touch with every1, now im back i hardly use it, other than if some1 sends me a msg. Thing is ppl like u lot of this thread thinks everybody on facebook lives on there. A very very small % use it all the time, like u lot are whinging about.
Btw do ppl think these social networking sites are a phase/trend or here to stay? I hope they are just a phase to be honest, otherwise where does it end? |

Saves me and a company I partner with tens of grand a year. Absolutely essential student communications/marketing tool. Has made organising parties, meetings and other stuff ridiculously easy.
By:
I can't stand people who try and talk online or text when they are probably sitting next to a phone.
By:
As Tommy will testify I barely use email any more, facebook messaging is so much better.
By:
Only because you are a cool dude sparkmaster
By:
ok so it's a way of making money
mainly cos so many numpties use it as is drug dealing and gun running and not a fan of them either... |
By:
pile of sh!te
what a pathetic notion pretending to be friends with people you actually arent. |
By:
You make a strong case Simon!
It's a way of making AND saving money because it's the choice of communication of the nation's academic elite. |
By:
and morons
you forgot them |
By:
No I didn't, I can only speak from them the users I'm in touch with, who are exclusively university students and graduates. There may be some collection of facebook morons that you're in touch with but it's not my area of expertise so I wouldn't feel qualified to comment.
By:
canaryboy....email,msn,mobile phone.what about actualy meeting someone face to face?
By:
lots of bitterness around this fred
By:
then you meet them lol
tho obviously you arrange this first by the methods discussed i don't use it spark so wouldn't know |
By:
pile of sh!te , 80% of people on it are attention seekers the other 20% use it for keeping in touch with people you dont see or speak to that often which is fair enough.
By:
its good for people with loads of mates, i dont even have an account because i only know about 10 people who would use it and the rest i could add as friends i speak to on gambling forums.
so for me its pointless, the rest of you who knows. mind you myspace was good for stalking people i hadnt seen in years back in the day, is that site still going? |
By:
Facebook is similar to the Chit Chat forum.
By:
Its basically a site for attention seekers. Apparently the most popular status statements are along the lines of...is**ed off...is feeling down...along them lines. If it aint that its invitations to join some x factor support group. I personally use it for looking up ex girlfriends to get me leg over, even that's run dry now so I've deleted my profile.
By:
I make you right , inner city sumo.
By:
chit chat is mostly randoms on a forum
like many other forums can't think of any similarities with fb tbh both internet based i suppose |
By:
" I love ChitChat as it prompts me when fit ladies are on the T.V. This is a priceless service in my busy life."
By:
man walks on girls aloud shocker.
By:
It's a complete and utter waste of time.
I stood in a queue yesterday in the university library to use a computer; I had to print an assignment off so I could hand it in before the deadline. When it was eventually my turn in the queue, I walked over to the computer and every person bar one in the row (6 in total) was on Facebook. To use Betfair vernacular, I was 'seething'. Seriously, can this shiit now wait until they have spare time? They could've even done it on their own laptop and it wouldn't have been a problem. Honestly, it's for fuccking morons. |
