Rivers up here have been too high for them to feed most of the time for ages, now. They eat little creepy crawlies on the river bed. But they go hungry when the streams are too high for them to feed. Haven't got the sense to go looking for worms in the fields. Ah, well. Darwin's law, I suppose. The strongest will survive.
