What annoying habits have they got/had that you hadn't thought of before they moved in? Now matter how small, I'd like to know.

This is a small one but an annoyance nonetheless: I hate it when people don't open cereal packets properly. The tab needs to neatly fit inside the gap that was made for it, and the plastic should neatly be peeled apart from the top towards one corner only. I seethe when I see that someone's ripped into the box like a hungry lion, and cut down the plastic as if it's not clear how you're meant to open it. Having a clean pouring of cereal and protecting it best against air should surely be elementary.

If you could all contribute one thing it could save me from possibly making a big mistake in the future. Thanks. :)

Phlegming in the bathroom sink in the mornings and leaving it there to go crusty, with bits of stubble stuck to it.

I had one, not so long ago, who was living in the house I was renting, with my furniture, my things (a house full) all there at his disposal, so long as he paid the rent, and I could keep my bedroom when I popped back darn sarf.

I got a call from the landlord saying this bloke was in prison, and he'd not actually paid any rent for nearly 2 years, and was a right con-man, and had had bailiffs going through MY stuff, for HIS debts, and I had a couple of days to get my stuff.
Well, I got a car load - and lost the rest. It was either burnt of left for the new tenants.
Beds, Furniture, Fridge-freezer, microwave, many things in cupboards etc etc etc.

People who moan when i don't fit the tab back into the cereal packet correctly. Suggest you get individual portion variety packs when i come to live with you.

Another annoyance is when there's been a spillage on the kitchen worktop and people mop it up with a tea towel, rendering it no good at drying the dishes, meaning it also now needs to go in the wash. Why do people not use kitchen roll when it's right there?

I expect I'd have to bite my tongue a lot if I lived with lads my age. I know we're all animals with sometimes bad habits, but I expect the worst from my mates. Not sure why. Probably basing it on the habits they have while they're living with their parents. Like to think they'd take more responsibility if they had to 'fend' for themselves. :|

so many disgusting things people have done

fortunately when i move in a few weeks that will be the end of it, as the girl is absolutely fine

i could write a list of hundreds of nasty habits and tbh it's making me quite angry thinking about it now

not just skanky, but disrespectful

Surely worktops are waterproof, so why mop it up at all, when it dries it forms a protective layer for the worktop. Really must stop expending so much energy on needless tasks.

Shared a flat with a guy who used half a roll of toilet paper every time he went to the loo. Ended up buying my own private loo rolls and hiding them under the bed.

No I haven't. I think he may be back in Ipswich. He apparently had the front to give the landlord as a reference for a new landlord he was trying to rent from.
He seems such a nice bloke too, doesn't he?

always thought it'd be class living with women that i wasnt going out with but it wasnt, used to get constantly sneered at for having a chit diet (eating some sort of meat with every meal) and constantly getting **ed at for not cleaning things that are already clean.

glad those days are over, one of the lass's were fit as fook and constantly had random blokes in, not a prob as they always kept quiet most nights but when it came to one of them pssing her off she always looked to me to get them to leave, had to physically throw some poor guy out she'd been leading on for months. no good

On the subject of bog roll it winds me up to tatal fvckery when the bog roll gets put on the roller wrong. The sheets should flow from THE TOP not from underneath. Total cvnts are those who do it wrong.

Id be stood in lift next day, one granny in one corner, me in the

I had a flatmete (a student) who never used to get out of bed before he needed a dump. Normally about 2ish. If he needed a pi1ss he would go in an empty 3 litre Coke bottle he kept under his bet.

once was in a flatshare above a shop and somehow ended up sharing with a yugoslav painter/decorator. always skint, he just nicked everyone else's stuff.

he used to have sugar sandwiches, and a glass of water with sugar stirred in to drink. once he made me a bacon sandwich but didn't realise in England you are supposed to cook bacon first. also he "borrowed" another housemate's roll-on deodorant :(
