Johnny Vegas must surely get a mention? He's just an embarrassment.
Can't agree with Andy Parsons. I've seen hundreds of comedians at the Stand in Edinburgh. Andy Parsons was the funniest act I ever saw there. Although I admit he doesn't come across so well on TV.

It would be easier saying which one makes me laugh...Frank Skinner.
The vast majority of the others are just the 'Emperors New Clothes.'
Bob Monkhouse was good though
Never seen him but I hear he was very funny and very blue.

Kelly Monteith, some previously unheard of American who for, whatever reason, was given a series!
Will never forget the funniest of quips, where he talked of staying in and balling socks, which was rewarded by hysterical (presumably canned) laughter!

Dad thought he was funny, and tried to do an impersonation, but was useless!
Hilda Baker..."she knows you know" and everyone fell apart.
Norman Collier...the Club Concert Secretary with the bro**n micr*ph*ne....
The car window prop....same thing every time, and yet people still laughed!
Charlie Drake as earlier mentioned....."Hello my darlings" and everyone fell apart!Dad thought he was funny, and tried to do an impersonation, but was useless!Hilda Baker..."she knows you know" and everyone fell apart.Norman Collier...the Club Concer
Can't believe I'm seeing someone knocking Armstrong and Miller, I thought they were great and wish they did more shows.
There doesn't seem to be any shows like that on at all now? :( Like Mitchell and Webb, Fast Show, i.e. proper sketch shows?
Can't think of any for years.
Just comedy panel shows now? Which are all of course now "gender balanced", so Katherine Ryan is on everything as she is a genuinely funny quick talented woman, but then you have people on making up the numbers like the Irish woman on 8 out of 10 cats. Who ... isn't.

I was on a Cruise to New York last year, and the comedian for the first night was the aforementioned Kelly Monteith. Died on his ass for the first 20 mins, but he slightly improved and got a few sympathetic laughs at the end.

That show has 12k hits. In the side bar we have "Bra-less Liz Hurley befuddles Billy Connolly at the BAFTAs! ".. .7.2 million hits.
Men are a bit sad aren't they :)

Pascoe, I was trying to remember her name. Yes I don't get it - is she supposed to be funny? She was on that also unfunny Frankie Boyle thing, she just seemed a bitter angry leftie. Not a fan of Boyle these days as he's gone right up his own arras and has become a very smug very predtictable leftie (which is why Pascoe is his female "gender balanced" sidekick), but at least he made me laugh years ago. oooh I don't like Trump Brexit and May, how ground breaking.

Most of the names cited here are indefensible. Well done.
the awful unfunny c*** with the cross eyes - Yes, rommell, assume you mean Jimmy Carr.
Personally, I have never liked comedians resorting to silly voices or unwarranted manic behaviour, so wish to nominate Robin Williams into this hall of fame.

Can't argue with that, rommel, Jenny Eclair has had a good ride and is unfunny. More contentiously - and just to confirm those who may have binned them already,French and Saunders. Ab Fab was only funny if you could pretend that Jennifer Saunders was twenty years younger than Jennifer Saunders. And I have always struggled with the concept of The Vicar Of Dibley, since Dawn French never convinced anyone that she believes in God.

Michael McIntyre, Miranda, Sarah Millican and Russell Howard. Nearly all comediennes are terrible, the exception is Amy Schumer. Howard's schtick seems to be targeted at subintelligent 20-somethings. McIntyre is just an awful, middle class windbag. How Miranda received accolades for her sit-com is beyond me. Some of the most cliched, tired visual gags imaginable. I'd throw in 'Mrs Brown' too - saying 'feck' is not comedy as isn't all your p*ss poor scripts.

not a fan of stand up comedy tbh, especially the females who do it, I find it extremely painful to watch, there a few tho that are ok, the scottish guy from glesga is decent, the scouser guy is ok and the boy on league of their own is generally funny

Regarding Victoria Wood, the one thing that she DID do that was really outstanding was when she did 'An Audience With' about 25 years ago now. I thought that was first class, but some of the TV work that she was involved with after that was fairly poor in my view. Programmes such as 'Dinner Ladies'. I don't think I laughed once throughout that programme.

Cooperman - totally agree with you on that. Miranda relies on old fashioned slapstick to try and get laughs. I just find her embarrassing and very unfunny. Vastly overrated!

Thank god that "funny chav" character Lee Nelson is off the screens, every time he came on TV that was an instant channel turner. Not just not funny, very irritating.

That hitler they keep showing on the Yesterday channel is totally unfunny. I think he's supposed to be a Charlie Chaplin impresonator? But there's something about him ... he's a wrong'un. Wouldn't be surprised if he turns out worse than Saville, you heard it here first.

Mrs H likes Mickey Flanaghan. I don't. For her birthday took her to see Flanaghan at an arena gig. Nearly 50 notes a ticket - as Flanaghan would probably say.
Fifty quid!
