no idea. ive got a ps3 and i imagine the xbox is better for games but the ps3 is great for videos etc. bluray player. plays video files really well, like you could have loads of ripped movies on the hard drive and the menus are fast and easy to find stuff. it takes forever but ideal for backing up a dvd collection to save the dvds getting scratched. if you arent bothered about any of that though i expect the xbox is better for just games.

theres games on the playstation network though not that many. so far ive only bought 3 games on it, all 3 command and conquer ps1 games only 2.39 each i think they were. doubt your kids will wanna play those though. i dont know much about xbox but i know im impressed with the ps3. its as quiet as a mouse for a start, not like the ps2 that whurs like crazy when you play a dvd. and the wireless controller is great. the menus are fast and easy. xbox may have all those plus points too, i dont really know.

i cant get my ps3 to stream video wirelessly. well...i can...but it keeps stuttering so not worth it. any ideas why? my videos are handbrake m4v files. ie not ipos m4v. i found it to be the best quality at a reasonable size, about 1gb per movie. they dont play very well in windows media player but play fine with vlc player and on the ps3...except when streaming from pc. maybe its cos theyre on an external hard drive?
