Strange that its marketed as a winter sunshine resort yet the winters can be quite cold which is made worse by the houses which are designed for the very high temperatures in the Summer.

It's only about 21C outside today. Shivering indoors. So's the dog! May have to use some heating later.

It'll be down to 15C by the end of the month and only about 5C, maybe lower, by Christmas.

Quite right about the houses here. Geared for hot weather, not cold. It always feels so much colder than it actually is.

Shivering in 70 deg F weather? That's sunbathing weather here in Scotland.

wur .
when i lived in a north facing terraced house with limited insulation and sash windows ,it was freezing cold in that house around April time even when it was sunbathing 23c weather outside .

The bricks would eventually heat the house up later in the year . MOMM is correct

Well I imagine 21C was what it peaked at today. i just checked the outside thermometer and it's currently only 16C. I can assure my toes are cold and my nose has now joined them. Bot looking forward to the next few months at all.

must be terrible, momm. I can see why that can severely affect your moods

lol - it IS fecking terrible.

These places don't have central heating or carpets or double glazing or thick curtains or cavity wall insulation or loft insulation or any of the stuff we take for granted in the UK to keep us snug and warm indoors. 16C in Cyprus just isn't the same as 16C in the UK. I'm seriously thinking about sticking my feet in a bowl of hot water to get the circulation going again!

Not really sure to be honest. Last time it was mentioned on the News the word crisis cropped up a few times.

You'll not find many shops of any kind in the North.
