what played the cleaner in that BBC1 programme with that funny bloke whose name I cant remeber, and the flatmate who was actually very fanciable. Anyway, made me laugh.

No, seriously.....had only 1 can of Kronenburg(4.8%)....and was cracking 4 or 5 times.....it has great timing ...chit-chatters should not be put off because she is not traditionally attractive...

must have had a good warm up act as the studio audience were in hysterics after every line. got better as the episode went on though.
also some straight to camera lines reminded me a bit of peep-show |

No I agree it was very good, I actually put BBC2 on thinking never mind the buzzcox was on, but left it on instead and enjoyed it :)

Wiki : The series, a popular critical hit, became known for its Brechtian use of what is known in theater as "breaking the fourth wall", a concept in which characters turn away from the action and comment directly on the proceedings or make asides to the audience. While Groucho Marx was a pioneer of the technique in the 1930s movie Animal Crackers, and television had occasionally broken the fourth wall since at least the 1950s TV series starring Ernie Kovacs and the team of George Burns and Gracie Allen, and sporadically afterward, Shandling's series employed the idea as a central concept, and influenced such future wall-breaking series as Malcolm In The Middle, The Bernie Mac Show and the UK's Sean's Show. In Peep Show one character talks to the camera which puts you in the position of another character in the scene. Miranda talks to you as a member of the audience. |

Wiki : Moonlighting frequently broke the fourth wall, with many episodes including dialogue which made direct references to the scriptwriters, the audience, the network, or the series itself. (For example, when a woman is trying to commit suicide by jumping into a bathtub with a radio, Addison says, "Are you nuts? The network'll never let you do that, lady!") Variations of this technique had been used previously in television programs such as Burns and Allen and The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, although Moonlighting was the first scripted television series to weave self-referential dialogue directly into the show's plot. Also unlike the earlier shows, Moonlighting sometimes broke the fourth wall in much more involved and complex ways. Cold opens sometimes featured Shepherd and Willis (in character as Maddie Hayes and David Addison), other actors, viewers or TV critics directly addressing the audience about the show's production itself. In some other episodes, the plot suddenly transitioned into extended sequences which involved crew dismantling or changing the sets, characters wandering off the set into other parts of the studio, production crew stepping into the scene as a deus ex machina (e.g. a propmaster suddenly walking into the scene and taking the villain's gun away), or guest actors dropping character and referring to each other by their real names. However, other than in stand-alone openings, the main actors never stepped out of character during the episodes. |

Also Miranda reminded me a bit of Curb Your Enthusiasm, in the way that Miranda kept getting into awkward situations like Larry David does. |
